This month we met at Caren's and Jeri helped with the luncheon. Thank you so much, everything was wonderful! Monica and Nancy C gave us an outline and ideas about our upcoming quilt block project. They will be sending out the particulars to all who are interested. If you haven't let one of them know you would like to participate, email or text either one of them as soon as possible so you can get the project directions, fabric amounts, etc. The project can be found at Meet the Maker Quilt Along. There is also an entire quilt kit for that quilt using the confetti cotton solids that can be purchased online or at JK Quilts in Meridian.

Our next meeting won't be until August 28th at Rachel's and Corrie is helping with the food.

Kathi used her stash to make this Big Star quilt from a Missouri Star Quilts tutorial, got it quilted by Tracey and will now be adding a binding. 

Jeri made this red and white Christmas quilt using pieces from a panel. Below is her backing.

Diane repaired her grandmother's Grandmother's Garden quilt. Many of the hexagons were frayed, but Diane did a great job replacing over 60 patches.

Diane asked her Activity Day girls (ages 8-11) to make squares for this quilt. Robyn had done this same thing earlier and shared her fabric pens with Diane. The quilt will be given to a young girl suffering with cancer.

Nancy C made this giant tote, made up the pattern and had her husband quilt it.

Nancy also made this star quilt using batiks.

Rachel made these peek-a-boo bags, one with memory disks and one with blocks for a friend's twins. She purchased blank disks and blocks from Hobby Lobby. She also made a burp cloth from the same fabric.

Rachel also made this tablerunner and made one just like it using grays and golds to put in her new Etsy store The Cackling Hen Idaho. Keep watching her store for more and more items.

Rachel made this flag banner using wool. She used thread that sparkles for part of it. It doesn't show up well in the photos, but in person the sparkle looked great!

Maurene made this fence rail quilt using a jelly roll in rich fall colors and added a checker board border. Rachel quilted it for her.

A fun meeting at Maurene's this month! Nancy F. helped with the lunch and we tossed around ideas for a new group project to start working on. Monica and Nancy C. will come up with 3 choices for all of us to vote on by next meeting (which will be held at Caren's)

This is some country stitching that Jennifer did.

The following are all bench pillowcases that Jean made. She made a total of 24 pillowcases (a set for her daughter and a set for her sister) from Kimberbell Designs.

Jean added rickrack at the top to attach the name of the birthday person.

This is a pillowcase Jean made for her grandson.

Jean also made this one.

Robyn made this solid fabric quilt for her grandkids.

Jeanie made this rope bag from a class she took.

Jeanie also made this "I Spy" quilt and put minky on the back.

Nancy C. made this quilt using all fabrics she already had. She used a 20%wool and 80%cotton batting which gave it a very soft feel.

Jeri made another purse using reds and whites
