Toffee

1 cup whole or slivered almond- spread our on foil lined cookie sheet

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 teas. salt
1/2 teas. vanilla

Cook over high heat for 5-6 min. Stir constantly with a dry wooden spoon.
Pour over nuts
Cool and dip in 1/2 lb. milk chocolate and roll in 1/2 lb. chopped walnuts

Crinkle a piece of tissue paper, flatten it back out. Dry iron it onto the shiny side of freezer paper. Cut out a shape that will fold into an envelope. Also cut out a note card rectangle shape. You can write on the dull side of the freezer paper!  Fun craft idea with kids.
 SHOW AND TELL

Jeanie made this apron using a men's shirt. So creative!! She attached ties to the side so it will tie in the back.

This last one is my tablerunner I just made. I made it using the snowball pattern for the center and appliqued felt snowmen on the ends. I figure I can keep it out through the winter.

October Meeting

Here are the show and tell pics from our meeting in October. I've also posted them in my group's blog, Material Girls Idaho, with a little more detail about the meeting.

This is my latest. I made a scrap quilt from my ethnic fabrics and used the brick pattern. I put flannel on the back so it will get used often in our family.
